YouTube has a new update that adds many beneficial changes to the video player on this video streaming platform called YouTube. The Google-owned video service has a new feature that will help users to identify the most popular parts or content of the video that you are watching. YouTube has revealed that the new update will have a graph on each video that can be used to easily locate and watch the most replayed parts of a video. This new feature can be helpful especially for longer videos and the ones that are not divided into video chapters so that it will be easy for the users to jump to the most important part of a video.

YouTube's ‘Most Replayed’ New Feature

Now The most replayed portion of the videos feature was available only for YouTube Premium subscribers were only able to use this feature from YouTube.com/New. However, YouTube has announced that this feature will now be available to all YouTube users --for  both free and Premium and will be accessible across all device type desktop, iOS and Android platforms.

How Will This New Feature Help Users?

Youtube has added a graph to its video to show the most replayed parts of a video that they are watching. This graph is designed for users to quickly go through any YouTube video by watching only the most interesting parts of the particular video.Content creators mostly divide their longer videos into chapters so that the user can directly jump to the important part. However, these segments might not always get you to where chapters or timestamps are located which tends to happen mostly when a certain segment in a video goes viral. However, this feature is added to help users to point out the most important parts of tutorial videos and will also direct users straight to the segment that has the most action, for example, the most-watched part of a gaming video. Now, YouTube users will be able to see a grey graph while scrubbing through the video using the red playback progress bar. YouTube claims that wherever the graph is high, that area will depict the parts of the video that have been replayed many times. The thumbnail over the progress bar will also notify users when they hit the segment that has been “Most Replayed.”

Other Features Of YouTube Update

Asid from the most replayed feature, Youtube’s new update also has support for video chapters. The company launched this segmenting tool in May 2020 for smart TVs and gaming consoles.

How Does YouTube’s Chapter Tool Work?

Youtube’s Chapter tool helps us to jump forward to a particular section of a video or even rewatch that section. YouTube says that the chapters in videos on the platform can be automatically generated and also note that this tool has been added to nearly 20 million videos since its was launched.

What’s YouTube’s Single Loop Feature?

The Google-owned platform YouTube has also added a new feature called Single Loop that will allow us to put a single video on endless repeat mode. This can help us to repeat a song for endless time to listen to it and enjoy the song . Users will be able to use this option from the same menu which is used to adjust video quality, turn on captions and many more.

Other YouTube Updates

Aside from the above-mentioned features, YouTube has also introduced some features that will soon be available to its users. YouTube announced that it will give a  new experiment to the users  that will allow users to go to the exact moment in a video that they want to watch. This feature will also be initially made available to Premium subscribers only through the YouTube.com/New website.
